We are seeking an EVS Area Cleaner for our team to ensure that we continue to provide all patients with high quality, efficient care. As a hospital housekeeper, your work is vital to the prevention of serious infections and is an efficient function in the running of the hospital. Your position as a housekeeper plays an important role in the care of patients and healthcare providers by assuring a sterile environment in all areas of the hospital. You will routinely clean patient rooms, nursing units, surgical areas, administrative office, laboratory areas, waiting areas and public restrooms, as well as launder all hospital linen. Cleaning supplies and equipment are an essential part of this position, you will be taking daily inventory and you may be asked to inspect equipment for any repairs or replacements. You will be responsible for following proper infection-control policies and will have daily interaction with patients and other healthcare personnel.

Requirements

• 1 (one) year of prior experience in housekeeping in a healthcare setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Routine cleaning of patient rooms, nursing units, surgical areas, administrative offices, laboratory areas, waiting areas, and public restrooms.
• Launder all hospital linen.
• Take daily inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Inspect equipment for repairs or replacements.
• Follow proper infection-control policies.
• Interact daily with patients and healthcare personnel.
