About The Position

The Chief Strategy Officer is a senior enterprise leader responsible for shaping and advancing the company’s multi-year strategy, enabling profitable growth across divisions, and leading largescale strategic and inorganic growth initiatives. Reporting to the CEO and remaining a member of the CEO’s staff, this role partners closely with division leadership and the executive team to clarify strategic direction, evaluate growth opportunities, and drive disciplined execution. Designated focus areas include: • Business Development Lead for ORBIS, serving on the ORBIS leadership team while maintaining enterprise accountability. • M&A Lead for MPC and enterprise-wide lead for larger scale mergers, acquisitions, and strategic partnerships, from pipeline development through integration and value realization. Approximately 25% of the role will be dedicated to ORBIS business development and 25% to MPC M&A leadership, with additional accountability for major enterprise transactions spanning both divisions. Role co-located between Oconomowoc and Neenah.

Responsibilities

  • Enterprise Strategy & Operating Rhythm Lead the annual strategic planning cycle and long-range plan; translate enterprise ambition into clear, measurable objectives and investment priorities. Establish and maintain an executive operating rhythm (e.g., divisional QBRs and strategy reviews) to track progress, surface risks, and accelerate decision making. Prepare CEO and Board level strategy materials with clear insights, scenarios, and recommendations.
  • Division Partnership & Growth Leadership Serve as a trusted advisor to division presidents Riegsecker, Mike (MPC) and Kukuk, Norm (ORBIS), supporting strategy development, portfolio choices, and growth priorities. Sit on the ORBIS leadership team as Business Development Lead, driving strategic growth initiatives, market expansion, and partnership opportunities aligned to ORBIS strategy. Enable cross division learning by standing up shared strategy tools, benchmarks, and performance dashboards.
  • Enterprise M&A & Business Development Leadership Lead all larger scale M&A and strategic transactions for the enterprise, including acquisitions, joint ventures, and partnerships that materially advance enterprise strategy. Serve as end-to-end M&A lead for MPC, owning market mapping, pipeline development, valuation, diligence leadership, deal structuring, and execution. Provide strategic oversight and coordination for divisional M&A and business development activity to ensure enterprise alignment, disciplined capital deployment, and value capture. Lead post-merger integration governance for Enterprise transactions, working in close partnership with Finance, Legal, HR, IT, Supply Chain, and division leaders to ensure synergy realization, organizational alignment, and cultural integration.
  • Executive Communication & Leadership Create high quality, executive ready materials for CEO updates, Board sessions, and enterprise leadership forums. Distill complex strategic, financial, and transactional topics into clear, compelling narratives. Model enterprise leadership behaviors and contribute to a culture of accountability, curiosity, and results orientation.
