The Executive Vice President (EVP), Broker Strategy is responsible for leading and executing the company’s national broker channel growth strategy. This executive will drive broker acquisition, engagement, retention, and profitability while ensuring alignment with overall corporate goals. This role requires a dynamic leader with deep wholesale mortgage lending experience, strong broker relationships, and a proven ability to scale production through innovative strategy, sales leadership, and operational collaboration. The EVP will work cross-functionally with sales, operations, capital markets, marketing, and product teams to build best-in-class broker programs and deliver a superior broker experience.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in wholesale mortgage lending or broker channel leadership.
  • 3+ years in a senior leadership role (SVP, EVP, or equivalent).
  • Proven track record of growing broker production and scaling wholesale platforms.
  • Strong network within the mortgage broker community.
  • Deep knowledge of Non-QM, agency, and government lending products.
  • Experience leading national sales teams and broker relationship programs.
  • Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and leadership skills.
  • Excellent executive communication and presentation abilities.
  • Experience launching or scaling wholesale mortgage platforms.
  • Background working with capital markets and product strategy.
  • Strong understanding of broker technology platforms and loan origination systems.
  • Experience in high-growth or startup lending environments.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the company’s long-term broker channel growth strategy.
  • Identify market opportunities and implement initiatives to increase broker market share.
  • Drive broker acquisition, onboarding, and retention strategies.
  • Build scalable frameworks to support national broker expansion.
  • Lead and mentor Account Executives.
  • Establish sales targets, KPIs, and performance metrics for broker channel success.
  • Implement strategies to increase loan volume, broker productivity, and profitability.
  • Champion a best-in-class broker partner experience.
  • Strengthen relationships with top producing brokerages and strategic partners.
  • Develop programs that improve broker satisfaction, loyalty, and long-term partnerships.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Underwriting, Capital Markets, and Product teams to optimize broker programs and execution.
  • Ensure competitive products, pricing strategies, and turn times that attract and retain brokers.
  • Work closely with Marketing to drive broker engagement campaigns and brand positioning.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor offerings, and broker market dynamics.
  • Identify opportunities for product innovation and operational improvements.
  • Provide strategic insights to executive leadership regarding broker channel performance.
  • Serve as a key member of the executive leadership team.
  • Provide regular reporting and insights on broker channel growth, performance, and opportunities.
  • Contribute to overall company strategy and long-term growth initiatives.
