About The Position

We are currently hiring an Evolve Fleet Mechanic to support the maintenance and reliability of Evolve’s eBike and eScooter fleet. This role is primarily based out of our Beta Avenue Warehouse (3016 Beta Avenue, Burnaby), with regular field work supporting the Metro Vancouver Region. As an Evolve Fleet Mechanic, you will play a key role in ensuring the safety, availability, and performance of Evolve’s micromobility fleet. You will focus on intermediate and advanced mechanical and electrical repairs, preventative maintenance, and in field servicing to keep bikes and scooters operating at a high standard. This role operates Monday to Friday during regular business hours, with a company van and equipment provided for field work.

Requirements

  • Minimum two years of experience as a bike and or eScooter mechanic, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Grade 12 or equivalent
  • Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills across bikes and micromobility devices
  • Ability to lift up to 90 lbs safely
  • Valid BC Class 5 Driver’s License with a safe driving record and clear driver’s abstract
  • Comfort riding eBikes and operating vehicles safely
  • Familiarity with mobile applications and digital tools for logging and communication

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues on eBikes and eScooters, including drivetrains, braking systems, and IoT components
  • Perform scheduled maintenance and preventative repairs to maximize fleet uptime
  • Support battery management, including charging, testing, and replacement
  • Inspect, clean, and test devices to ensure safety and readiness before deployment
  • Accurately log all maintenance and repair activities in backend systems
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workshop environment
  • Track and manage inventory of parts, tools, and consumables
  • Respond to field maintenance requests and complete repairs across Metro Vancouver, primarily North Vancouver
  • Safely operate a company van to deploy, retrieve, and service fleet devices
  • Perform inspections and minor repairs in the field and escalate complex issues as needed
  • Communicate regularly with the operations team regarding fleet condition, issues, and priorities
  • Support basic customer interactions when encountered during field servicing
