About The Position

The Evisceration Production Worker at Bell and Evans is responsible for the inspection, hanging, and processing of birds in a fast-paced production environment. This role is essential in ensuring the quality and safety of the poultry products produced by the company.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Entry-level position with one to three months of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge of food safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Work at the pace of the production line.
• Hang chicken by two legs ensuring all birds are properly hung.
• Ensure machinery has properly opened the birds; use scissors if necessary.
• Pin feathers and inspect inside of the birds for contamination.
• Cut broken deficiencies marked by trimmers using a knife.
• Reprocess salvageable birds using knives and scissors.
• Check finished product for contamination prior to QA tests.
• Use a lung gun to suction out marked birds.
