About The Position

The essential functions of this position includes, but is not limited to: assisting the Supervisor in daily operations of evisceration. This position is responsible for providing guidance and ensuring compliance with management directives to the Team Members on a daily basis The Lead will set up department with condemn barrels, plastic tubs, and hand tools prior to the start of the shift. Assists with maintaining proper crewing of the line Assists with maintaining controls set up by USC, and attends to USDA or production issues in the absence of the supervisor. Must be able to prepare work area and help retrieve needed supplies Must have the knowledge and experience with guidance, leading and assisting supervisors. Give other team members breaks as needed. Fills in for absenteeism as necessary. Must be able to place and move team members on the line as needed. Be able to alert supervisor and management when problems arise Must be able to communicate properly with USDA II. MUSCULAR/SKELETAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB Must be able to maneuver freely throughout the plant Must be able to climb stairs to get to and from work areas Must be able to tolerate walking, standing for duration of shift Must be able to lift 40 pounds plus Must be able to use hands, lifting, bending, twisting Must be able to use knives and scissors if required

Requirements

  • 6 months continuous work history with single employer in past 12 months
  • Rehire criteria is a minimum waiting period of 180 days
  • Rehire Rule of no more than 3 times worked at Tyson Foods
  • Must be able to maneuver freely throughout the plant
