Evidenced Based Practices in Juvenile Detention Internship College to County Internship 2026 - Multnomah County Juvenile Detention EBP (Evidence Based Practice) is the systematic use of interventions, policies, and decision-making approaches that are grounded in rigorous research and proven to improve outcomes for youth. EBP Leads work with juvenile detention line staff and managers to bring evidence-based approaches to our youth enrichment programs.They work with the department's Volunteer and Internship Programs Manager to host community partners and volunteers who offer a variety of groups and learning/social opportunities for our youth. They are also Juvenile Custody Support Specialists (JCSS) who provide direct youth supervision when required. EBP Leads collaborate with unit staff to support staff-led skill building and goal setting groups. Internship Description & Responsibilities: This position directly supports the work of the EBP lead in juvenile detention with current and future projects.
