Employees in this role are responsible for ensuring that personal property and clothing held by the Sheriff's Department are protected from loss or damage, and that the disposition of all property and clothing is maintained appropriately. The role requires knowledge of departmental policies and guidelines, as well as applicable laws and statutes governing the storage and safekeeping of personal property. Basic computer data entry skills and a working knowledge of automated accountability and property tracking systems are also necessary.
