As a Bilingual New Hire Ambassador at GE Appliances, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring a seamless onboarding experience for new production employees. This position is designed for individuals who are not only fluent in Dari/Pashto and English but also possess a strong service-oriented mindset. Your primary responsibility will be to support new hires throughout their transition into the company, helping them navigate their first days and ensuring they feel welcomed and prepared for their roles. You will be the first point of contact for new employees, guiding them through orientation, teaching essential onboarding modules, and conducting plant tours to familiarize them with their new environment. In addition to onboarding, you will conduct daily check-ins with new hires, providing ongoing support and gathering feedback to ensure their successful integration into the team. This includes following up with employees who may be absent, assisting with timecard approvals, and addressing any questions or concerns they may have. Your role will also involve troubleshooting issues and escalating them to the appropriate personnel when necessary. You will be responsible for administering on-the-spot surveys to collect feedback from new hires and reporting your findings to plant leaders and HR, contributing to continuous improvement in the onboarding process.
