About The Position

The Asphalt Plant Operator is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the asphalt plant. This includes managing the production of hot mix asphalt products, ensuring the plant runs efficiently, and adhering to all safety and environmental regulations.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Asphalt Plant Operator.
• Familiarity with asphalt plant operation and maintenance.
• Ability to handle heavy equipment.
• Strong understanding of safety regulations and procedures.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to perform basic repairs and maintenance on plant equipment.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Willing to work nights and weekends as needed.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with plant automation systems.
• Knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to weld using an arc welder or cutting torch.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the asphalt plant.
• Ensure smooth and efficient production processes.
• Manage the start-up, shutdown, and batching of asphalt.
• Coordinate with construction managers to adjust asphalt mix designs as necessary.
• Notify the Plant Manager promptly of any issues or deficiencies observed within the plant.
• Monitor inventory levels of raw materials and order supplies as needed.
• Record and report on plant production and maintenance activities.
• Maintain a clean and safe plant environment.
• Train and supervise other plant workers as required.
