The Events Supervisor will be responsible for assisting with events, food & beverage, and supporting facility management. This position provides direction in training and development opportunities to full-time and part-time staff for and during events. The Events Supervisor will work with multiple department leaders in order to successfully accomplish these responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in management, sports management, hospitality, business, or related field with 3-5 years of experience in a leadership role in operational management and/or event management preferred
  • Must have excellent interpersonal, project management, and problem-solving skills
  • Must be a team player
  • Must have attention to detail, excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must have excellent computer skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Must be able to work flexible schedules including weekends, nights, and holidays
  • Must be willing to obtain CPR certifications
  • Must be organized, efficient, flexible, and able to meet deadlines
  • Able to cope with many tasks at once and work to tight schedules
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds waist high
  • May be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time whether indoors or outdoors, and squat, stoop or bend into awkward positions while performing job functions
  • Weekends, nights and holidays required

Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing, maintaining, and reporting on overall event and F&B calendar activities to leadership, team members, clients, and SFC
  • Participates in planning/strategic and leadership meetings
  • Assist with oversight effective communications with event owners pre, during, and post events
  • Assist in oversight with administration and a high level of detail is required in the organization of events
  • Builds an overall understanding of the events and F&B in the company portfolio and their operational goals
  • Liaison and communication for event planning, setup, and operations with other departments leaders
  • During non-event days, work with leadership to oversee event management ensuring everyone is prepared for next event, including but not limited to task assignment and execution of facility team's daily tasks
  • Assist to ensure overall health & safety, quality control, expense management, security, procedures, and facility maintenance are in place
  • Creates and monitors schedules
  • Analyze event performance and prepare metrics presentation
  • Support in hiring, training, and leading part-time/seasonal team members
  • Serves as a manager on duty (MOD) as needed
  • Responsible for on-site management the day / night of the event
  • Will provide general support as needed for other events between departments
  • Conducts physical inspections of all areas of the facility to ensure accurate event setup and safety for patrons
  • Coordinates and maintains all front and back of house equipment and materials
  • Additional tasks and assignments as requested by management
