Reporting to the Associate Director, Community Philanthropy and Engagement, the Events Specialist, Community Philanthropy and Engagement plays an important support role within the Community Philanthropy & Engagement team by supporting the department with tasks related to both upcoming events and the department's operations. Additionally, the Community Philanthropy & Engagement Coordinator is responsible for a small portfolio of independently managed third party community partner events supporting The James/OSUWMC. As a liaison to these third party community partners, the Community Philanthropy & Engagement Coordinator will develop plans, make decisions and implement those events in partnership with community members, donors, and volunteers. The Community Philanthropy & Engagement Coordinator also provides on-site assistance for other departmental events as needed. The Events Specialist is expected to have strong customer service, organizational, multi-tasking, and time management skills, and experience working with Microsoft Office.
