About The Position

Events Setup Crew Member (Administrative Assistant), Salary: $34,532 - $43,165 per year, USCA Campus Support Services Under the general supervision of the Facilities Event Coordinator, the Events Setup member will be responsible for event set-up and tear downs for all campus and contracted event equipment and resource needs. Works with other set up team members to ensure the location is fully equipped and prepared for smooth execution of the event. The member may serve as house manager for outside vendors, will assist Facilities Event Coordinator in carrying out School Dude requests and optimizing high levels of guest experience satisfaction. The member may be required to supervise and provide direction to part time and/or temporary employees. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Demonstrated effective oral and written communication skills. Professional and personal integrity. Knowledge in operational procedures, facility capabilities, event-related services and technical requirements for events in indoor and outdoor venues. A good driving record. Must be hospitable and work harmoniously with others. Required Certifications, Licensure/Other Credentials: Must posses a valid driver's license. Forklift certified within 6 months of hire through training provided by USCA. Minimum requirements: Typically holds a high school diploma or GED. Requires 1 or more years of job related experience. Responsibilities

  • Set up required resources (tables, chairs, stages, tents, podiums, gym flooring, stanchions, pipe and drape, etc.) for each venue event as requested by the customer. All set ups will be neat, clean, orderly and in good working condition. Venues will be set up in accordance to diagrams and/or customer and/or supervisors directives. Event will be broken down and put away in proper locations after events conclusion.
  • Individual will maintain all resource storage locations in a neat and order manner. All resources will be clean and in sound operational condition. Resources in need of repair, or replacement, will be made known to supervisor for corrective actions.
  • Under the direction of the Events Coordinator, carry out furniture, equipment moves, etc. requested by departments via the university work order system or other request methods.
  • Assist in deliveries of incoming mail-room packages as well as other duties assigned within the division of Campus Auxiliary & Support Services.
  • Serve as a House Manager, if needed, for external events. This would entail opening and closing venue and coordinating needs of the guest with appropriate university departments (Operations, Custodial, Public Safety, etc.).
