About The Position

As a leading employer on the Outer Banks for over 50 years, Kitty Hawk Kites is hiring a Events Marketing Intern for 2026! Internships last a minimum of 12 weeks Job Summary The Marketing Intern will be involved in many aspects of our diverse marketing program as well as other departments in the company.

Requirements

• Current enrollment in a college program focusing in Marketing, Events Planning, or other related field
• 0 - 2 years related Marketing experience
• Customer service experience, communications, social media, or office experience preferred
• Good organization skills.
• Detail oriented.
• Comfortable with multitasking.
• Strong and current social media skills and the ability to manage an account such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.
• Quality Customer Service skills and an attitude commiserate with the role of making an excellent first impression
• Must be willing and able to build strong relationships with customers.
• Must be a team player
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one situations with customers and clients

Responsibilities

• Responsible for planning and running Kids' days each week for their area with the guidance and supervision of the Events Coordinator
• Present unique ideas to promote events and draw visitors to participate
• Assist weekly distribution of KHK marketing materials
• Improve, maintain, and develop relationships with other businesses
• Other projects as assigned
