Position Summary Rhubarb Hospitality Collection, a division of Oak View Group is looking to hire an Event Lead Chef at Ensemble Arts Pihiladelphia. The Event Lead Chef is responsible for preparing and finishing all hot and cold foods in accordance with event recipes & standards. Types of events that can be expected: Cocktail receptions, seated dinner Breakfast & lunch buffets Private dining Weddings, galas and other large events This role pays an hourly wage of $30 to $35. Requirements

Professional work ethic
2-3 years of related cook experience
Prepare and execute key components of dishes while ensuring quality and accuracy
Effective communication skills and ability to take direction from supervisors
Flexible working hours, including weekends and evenings, when required
Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills
Ability to work independently, resourcefully, and proactively solve issues
Support their fellow cooks by being a team player

Responsibilities

Ability to work in a clean, organized, and efficient manner in a high-pressure environment
Have experience on multiple stations in the kitchen
Ensuring that food portions and food presentation meets Events standards
Must have excellent knife skills and proficiency in all aspects of cooking
Assists the Culinary Management team with food preparation as assigned
Maintains a working knowledge of food preparation for standard menu items
Maintains a clean work environment, including floors and passages
Cleans kitchen and equipment as assigned by the Culinary Management team
Assists in keeping all food storage areas, refrigerators, freezers, etc. clean and organized.
Assisting the unloading of deliveries
Manage a team of 15+ or more kitchen assistances
Work closely with event captain to create a positive client experience
Ensure sanitation standards meet city compliance
Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors
Assist with set-up and cleaning operational areas
