Events & Education Lead

About the position

The Events & Education Lead is a food enthusiast who passionately engages guests in Eataly’s mission through events and educational offerings. Reports to the Events & Education Manager.

Responsibilities

• Plans, schedules and executes public and private events including specialized cooking/wine/food knowledge classes, buyouts, press events, tastings and private receptions.
• Writes and monitors class descriptions; compiles instructor biographies, Banquet Event Orders (BEO’s) and sales contracts; creates class registration pages online.
• Fosters accountability in departments and interdepartmental collaboration when planning events.
• Builds and manages client lists and relationships.
• Performs other duties as required or assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Experience in restaurant operations, sales management, marketing or event planning.
• Excellent organizational, project management and time management skills.
• Outstanding professional communication skills and editorial skills.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of Italian wine and food gastronomy.
• Proficiency in Italian language preferred.
