About The Position

CIC is looking for a detail-oriented, client-focused, and proactive Events Coordinator to support our growing events program in Providence. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys working with people, and is excited about bringing high-quality events to life in a dynamic, mission-driven space. This is a full-time opportunity for someone with at least 1–2 years of professional experience in events, hospitality, or venue operations who is eager to grow their career within a collaborative and innovative organization.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • 1–2 years of professional events experience.
  • Availability to work between 8:00 AM and 9:00 PM, with 8-hour shifts.
  • Willingness to work occasional weekends.
  • A genuine interest in helping and supporting others.
  • Interest in a long-term role within a growing organization.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinating event logistics from intake to execution, including quotes, payments, Certificates of Insurance, and clear communication of event details.
  • Acting as an energetic ambassador for hosts and attendees, proactively troubleshooting issues during events.
  • Setting up and managing AV equipment for events, livestreams, podcasts, and hybrid needs.
  • Arranging furniture, maintaining event spaces, and ensuring they are secure, organized, and well-stocked.
  • Engaging with guests to build relationships and enhance the client experience.
  • Supporting CIC programming and internal projects that improve processes, training, or member experience.
  • Using tools like HubSpot and Eventbrite to organize, promote, and track events, while staying informed on industry trends and sharing creative ideas.
  • Other responsibilities as needed to support events, clients, and community needs.
