About The Position

The position involves planning, coordinating, and facilitating events, including children's birthday parties, within a Michaels store to ensure a fun and engaging experience for guests. The role requires delivering friendly customer service, assisting customers in finding products, and ensuring a fast and friendly checkout experience. Operational tasks include truck unloading, merchandise duties, and maintaining store recovery standards. The candidate will engage with clients of all ages, create an environment of fun and creativity, and demonstrate craft projects during events. Administrative tasks such as answering emails, making phone calls, and completing paperwork are also part of the job. The candidate must ensure client satisfaction, uphold cleanliness and safety standards, and participate in daily store cleanliness activities.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate multiple events including children’s birthday parties and craft classes.
  • Engage with clients of all ages and create a fun environment.
  • Demonstrate and instruct party participants in craft projects and activities.
  • Facilitate party add-ons such as goody bags and balloons.
  • Communicate event details with clients and store team members.
  • Complete administrative tasks including emails and paperwork.
  • Adjust plans based on client feedback and create backup plans as needed.
  • Ensure client satisfaction for scheduled events.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety standards before and after events.
  • Assist customers in shopping and locating products.
  • Provide a fast and friendly checkout experience.
  • Engage customers on the benefits of the Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards.
  • Assist with Omni channel processes including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS).
  • Participate in truck unloading, stocking, and planogram processes.
  • Support shrink and safety programs and adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Interact positively with customers and team members, promoting the organization’s vision and values.
