About The Position

Mandrel is building the AI-native ERP for commerce. Our platform helps operators replace brittle spreadsheets and legacy systems with software that reflects how finance and ops at consumer brands works today: real-time visibility, cleaner workflows, and better decisions. Today, our wedge is simple and painful: true, auditable gross margin by SKU and channel, tied to real supply-chain source of truth documents. We have raised over $12 million from Lux Capital, Construct Capital, Zigg Capital, Asymmetric Capital, WndrCo, and Clocktower Ventures. The team is headquartered in New York and brings deep expertise in finance and AI. We’re early, growing fast, and deeply customer-driven. Our customers are operators, founders, and leaders running consumer brands and we believe community is one of the most powerful ways to earn trust and scale adoption in this space. About the Role We’re looking for a scrappy, entrepreneurial Events & Community Lead to own how Mandrel shows up in the real world. Events are a major lever for us: Expose, distributor trade shows, industry conferences, finance and operations roundtables, dinners, and operator-focused gatherings. As our first hire focused on events and community, you’ll build Mandrel’s IRL presence from the ground up and help educate the consumer community and turn their finance and operations leaders into champions. This role is perfect for someone who loves people, thrives on execution, and wants real ownership early. You’ll have creative freedom to experiment, build repeatable playbooks, and shape how Mandrel connects with the commerce community.

Requirements

  • Someone that eats, sleeps, and breathes consumer brands and building community
  • 1+ years experience in events, marketing, partnerships, community, or go-to-market roles with consumer brands
  • Experience organizing executive gatherings, event partnerships, and trade show booths
  • Comfortable reporting on leads and helping generate meetings with attendees
  • Strong communicator who’s highly organized and execution-oriented
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced startup environment with high ownership
  • Based in or willing to relocate to NYC (5/day week in-person role in Midtown Manhattan)
  • Willing to travel (~25%) for conferences and events

Responsibilities

  • Own Mandrel’s event strategy across conferences, trade shows, customer dinners, roundtables, and intimate operator gatherings
  • Plan and execute end-to-end logistics including budgeting, venues, vendors, travel, timelines, and post-event follow-ups
  • Create community moments that spotlight consumer brands: panels, dinners, fireside chats, and operator meetups
  • Partner closely with leadership to drive pipeline, relationships, and brand awareness through events
  • Build a repeatable IRL playbook that scales as Mandrel grows
  • Be a visible ambassador for the Mandrel brand in the consumer brand space

Benefits

  • Competitive salary & equity package
  • Unlimited vacation (with at least 15 days strongly encouraged)
  • 100% coverage for healthcare (Medical, Dental and Vision)
  • Relocation assistance to NYC
