Events and Programs Specialist (Activities)

Responsibilities

• Engages residents in planning creative community events and programs of interest to residents and families
• Coordinates equipment, materials and volunteers to ensure event success
• Prepares activity assessments for each resident, if required by regulations
• Obtains and leads volunteers for events
• Completes participation records and quarterly progress notes
• Available to occasionally work evenings, weekends and/or holidays as events dictate

Requirements

• Must be able to communicate in the English language.
• High School diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Prior experience in social or recreational programming in a senior living setting preferred.
• Excellent written, verbal, and listening skills.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, knowledge of USI software preferred.
• Demonstrated creativity.
