Requirements

• College degree or advanced schooling preferred.
• Must meet the qualifications for Activity Director, as outlined in Federal regulations.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills with demonstrated creativity.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Demonstrated creativity and customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, engaging and training team members.
• Participate in planning of and lead creative community events and programs of interest to residents and families to ensure effectiveness and maintain quality services standards within department.
• Establish departmental strategic goals while managing financial resources to ensure that needed resources are available and that quality care is delivered to all residents.
• Maintain a clean, comfortable and safe environment for residents at all times.
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge.
• Prepare activity assessments and MDS for each resident according to regulatory requirements and complete participation in Caretracker.
• Prepare progress notes per regulatory standards.
• Wash dishes and maintain sanitation standards, ensuring utensils and equipment are ready.
