About The Position
The Events and Operations Coordinator serves as the Event Coordinator for the New Media Institute with direct oversight of NMIXpo and TEDxUGA-two of the Institute's hallmark events. This position is responsible for leading and coordinating the efforts of New Media Institute faculty, the New Media Advisory Council, the TEDxUGA Steering Committee, and the TEDxUGA Class to successfully execute these high-impact events for the UGA and Athens communities. Oversight includes comprehensive event planning, promotion and communication strategies, fiscal management, stakeholder coordination, and operational execution. In addition to event responsibilities, the Events and Operations Coordinator manages financial accounts, supports donor and sponsor engagement, coordinates speaker logistics, and promotes program visibility, playing a key role in supporting the mission and daily operations of the New Media Institute.
