About The Position

We are seeking a highly organized and dynamic individual to join our team as an Event Assistant and support meetings/events at the General Motors Technical Center – Warren Campus. The Event Assistant will play a crucial role in the planning, coordination, and execution of various events. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Marketing, or related field preferred
  • Proven experience in event planning or coordination

Responsibilities

  • Support the event management team with daily tasks
  • Create and maintain event documents, including room diagrams and campus maps
  • Verify room setups are correct, including tables, chairs, podium, riser, catering tables, and additional items as required; Notify appropriate departments if room setups are incorrect and ensure the adjustments
  • Schedule Corrigo work orders to support upcoming events
  • Prepare event reports in Microsoft Excel and attend weekly event meetings
  • Provide exceptional customer service to meeting organizers and address any inquiries or concerns
  • Submit digital artwork to Ricoh for event signage to be printed
  • Track inventory of event furniture and maintain organization of storage areas
  • Conduct post-event evaluations to gather feedback and improve future events
