About The Position

The Events Administrator at NYU Rory Meyers College of Nursing will collaborate with the Events Manager to oversee the planning and execution of various school-wide events. This role involves managing logistics, technology requirements, and acting as a liaison among faculty, media, and external partners. The position also includes responsibilities for virtual and hybrid events, ensuring technical operations run smoothly, and managing event registration systems. This is a one-year grant-funded position.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in management, business, marketing, education sciences, social sciences, law, global affairs, gender studies, or related disciplines.
  • 3+ years of experience in project administration and/or events administration in academia, industry, or startups.
  • Exceptional oral and written English communication skills.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and operational vision.
  • Project management skills.
  • Knowledge of computer basics, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, webpage software, Dropbox, Google Drive, Microsoft Office, and survey web-based software.
  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Marketing and communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and adapt.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's Degree or Ph.D. in a related area.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the execution and ideation of school-wide events.
  • Schedule events and coordinate venue set-up.
  • Act as the primary liaison for faculty, media, external partners, and contractors.
  • Organize activities and communication for events.
  • Contribute to strategic development for faculty and student-facing events.
  • Support internal Tandon units and partners in event planning and delivery.
  • Manage virtual and hybrid events, ensuring smooth technical operations.
  • Oversee event registration and ticketing systems.

Benefits

  • Annual base salary range of USD $70,000.00 to USD $77,000.00.
