About The Position

Samaritans Purse is seeking an Event Technology Specialist to join our Special Events team in Boone, North Carolina. In this role, you will help implement and maintain high-quality event technology experiences, system processes, and resources that support ministry events. Requirements

  • Bachelors degree and at least two (2) years of related experience in event or database management; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Cvent certified in Event Management preferred
  • Thorough knowledge of event management software
  • Exceptional computer skills and strong understanding of web-based applications and database concepts
  • Proven ability to manage projects and prioritize tasks to meet required deadlines

Responsibilities

  • Maintain your personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be an effective witness for Him
  • Support the development of event registration and on-site or virtual experience for ministry events, including building, testing, and launching registration processes
  • Assist with housing and travel management, mobile app content implementation, and custom event reporting
  • Support the organization and implementation of event registration management system and virtual event platforms
  • Equip system users, including onboarding, training, tracking access, and supporting various event teams in Samaritans Purse with understanding and adoption of systems
  • Provide on-site event support as needed to ensure smooth execution of attendee registration across ministry events
  • Maintain Event Technology team email inbox and calendar and serve as the first point of contact for event registration system support needs
  • All other duties as assigned
