Event Technology Program Manager, Amazon Travel and Events

At Amazon, we strive to be Earth's most customer-centric company. We're seeking an innovative and results-driven Event Technology Program Manager to join our global Travel and Events organization. This role will support the delivery of the technology strategic roadmap that enables exceptional meeting and event experiences for Amazonians worldwide. You will be the administrative owner of Global Travel and Events' suite of event management technology, working at the intersection of technical innovation and business strategy. Over the next 3-5 years, you'll help shape and implement solutions that flex and respond to the evolving needs of our global program while maintaining best-in-class service delivery. As the Event Technology Program Manager, you will play a key role in converting the needs of M&E global service delivery, operations, business strategy leads and Amazonian event organizers into system enhancements and amendments. You'll ensure our Strategic Meetings Management (SMM) and event delivery platforms not only meet but exceed expectations, while driving continuous improvement through customer feedback and industry innovation.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of the technical vision and implementation of Amazon's event technology ecosystem
• Own system administration and configuration for key venue sourcing and event management platforms
• Communicate the requirements for changes to technical training programs for global service delivery teams
• Partner with strategy and operational teams to ensure technology solutions align with customer needs
• Maintain integrations with enterprise systems while ensuring robust data governance

Requirements

• 5+ years' experience managing multiple event technology systems
• Demonstrated experience implementing Strategic Meetings Management (SMM) or event management technology platforms (including Cvent and similar solutions)
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
• Proven track record of stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration

Nice-to-haves

• Experience working in global scale meetings and events program teams
• Advanced data analytics capabilities and experience with business intelligence tools
• Project management certification (PMP or equivalent)
