About The Position

The Event Technician is responsible for the setup and operation of basic audiovisual systems in a hospitality environment, ensuring complete customer satisfaction. This part-time role involves working closely with clients to meet their needs and troubleshoot any technical issues that arise during events. The technician will report to an Operations Manager, Operations Director, or Director of Event Technology.

Requirements

• High School Diploma required; Associate's degree preferred.
• Achieve Technical Level 3 Certification within 180 days.
• 1 year of customer service or hospitality experience preferred.
• 1 year of audio visual experience or equivalent educational experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license required for operating company vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate and timely setup, operation, and breakdown of audiovisual equipment for events.
• Exceed customer expectations through effective communication and service.
• Monitor events and check in with customers to ensure satisfaction with equipment setup.
• Demonstrate basic operational ability to troubleshoot and resolve equipment and software issues.
• Complete systems entry and paperwork accurately, following company processes.
• Utilize floor up-selling techniques to increase revenue and finalize invoices with clients.
