This position is Part Time. Evenings and Weekends. NATURE OF WORK: Responsible for all aspects of the presentation of events in the facilities. Has broad authority to ensure the event is successful working closely with event presenters and user groups. SUPERVISION: Expected to function in an independent manner, reporting unusual cases to the supervisor. Reports to the Director of Event Serves. Supervises on-site personnel and contract services are essential to proper operation of the facilities during an event. PRIMARY DUTIES: Regular contact with inside and outside sources in conjunction with the planning for and providing services needed by facility users. Supports Event Managers with assisting with closing out their events and clearing the building after each event is completed. Assures readiness of items needed for events and performances in facilities. Consults with meeting planners and promoters to gather information to distribute to staff regarding the needs of the event. Inform groups utilizing the facilities as to the rules and safety precautions required in operating events. Implements the District’s event policies. Utilizes Momentus, an event management software. May assist with event planning. Promotes both internal and external guest services, including fellow employees, contract service providers, event planners and event attendees. Required to work odd or unusual hours as needed to complete the essential job functions or as assigned by supervisor. Work hours typically average more than 40 hours per week and may include extended hours in a day, anytime of day/night, weekends, and holidays. Performs related work as assigned.
