About The Position

The Salvation Army Events Management department is seeking qualified applicants to fill part-time/casual positions to support department events. This position is responsible for: Working alongside event production crew and performing all assigned staging needs for assigned event(s), including attending all rehearsals, and programs that require stage crew assistance. Works alongside the production team for the event to move props, set, and costumes on and off stage at the appropriate times, and help with cueing performers and presenters on entrances and exits. Runs spotlights as assigned.

Requirements

• One year of experience working in the field of Creative Arts is preferred.
• Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
• Constant amount of physical effort is required associated with hand movement, holding, finger dexterity, reading, writing, eye-hand coordination, vision, hearing, talking, and sitting at least 90% of the work time.
• Ability to lift and carry moderately to heavy (100+ lbs.) materials, supplies, and equipment.
• Physical effort required associated with walking, standing, pushing, pulling, climbing, bending, squatting, crawling, and reaching.

Responsibilities

• Participates in and learns required training as necessary based on the size of the event.
• Attends all programs and/or performances for the event to assist with stage management
• Prearrange all necessary set design components and equipment, following specifications from the Stage Manager.
