About The Position
Need a competitive wage, work with purpose, and a position you can grow in? FLEXIBLE AVAILABILITY NEEDED! Mornings - flexible but typically 6am to between noon and 3pm. Great for during school or similar availability! Night - flexible but typically 4pm until setup or takedowns are finished. Great for after school or as a second job if available! Enjoy working as part of a team and being part of high-quality work? Weddings, business meetings, community fundraisers, and more rely on the Holiday Inn Event Team to make their event a success! Our team sets up and picks up rooms to exceed client expectations with buffets, tables, chairs, stages, sound systems, beverage areas, backdrops, head tables, presentation materials and more!
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate a passionate commitment to the business
- Be honest, reliable, and timely
- Maintain excellent timekeeping and attendance
- Be able to multi-task, talk, and listen simultaneously while guests are present
- Ability to effectively solve problems for internal and external customers with urgency
- Strive to build and maintain good and productive relationships with all team members
- Setup tables, chairs, and room décor to client or sales department specification
- Takedown meeting equipment after guest meetings
- Setup stages, dance floors, and other requested equipment
- Store banquet furniture in an organized way in designated areas
- Watch for and report damage to hotel or rental equipment
- Other duties as-assigned
