About The Position

5 STAR Event Services is seeking reliable, professional, and safety-focused individuals to join our Event Staff team. This role supports live sporting events, concerts, and entertainment venues throughout the Houston area. Team members play a critical role in maintaining a safe, orderly, and welcoming environment for guests, staff, and performers. Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Reliable forms of communication and transportation
  • LEVEL 2 SECURITY LICENSE (Level II Training & Exam provided for free. All applicants are required to apply, pass exam, submit to fingerprinting, and criminal background check.)
  • A strong customer-service attitude and professional appearance
  • Possess excellent written and oral communication skills
  • The ability to understand and interpret credentials, documents, signs, rules, policies, and instructions
  • The ability to communicate effectively with clients, patrons and other employees
  • The ability to multi-task, cross-train and learn new skills quickly
  • The ability to remain calm and level-headed under high-pressure situations
  • Full physical and mental dexterity with the ability to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, hear, see and speak English clearly
  • The ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time (shift duration)
  • The ability to lift 25lbs

Responsibilities

  • Maintain safety and security for guests, employees, and event personnel
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and access-controlled areas
  • Conduct bag checks and routine security screenings
  • Assist guests with seating, directions, and general inquiries
  • Keep aisles, walkways, and access routes clear at all times
  • Enforce venue rules, policies, and procedures
  • Observe and report suspicious behavior or safety concerns immediately
  • Address guest complaints professionally and escalate when necessary
  • Assist with emergency procedures and venue evacuations
  • Provide security escorts as required
