About The Position
The Event Setup Staff at Holiday Inn Rapid City - Rushmore Plaza plays a crucial role in ensuring that various events, such as weddings, business meetings, and community fundraisers, are executed flawlessly. The work schedule includes morning shifts typically starting at 6 AM and ending between noon and 3 PM, as well as evening shifts that usually begin at 4 PM and continue until the setup or takedown is completed. As part of the Holiday Inn Event Team, staff members are responsible for setting up and breaking down event spaces to meet client specifications. This includes arranging tables, chairs, and room décor, as well as setting up stages, dance floors, and other equipment. The team is dedicated to exceeding client expectations and ensuring that every event is a success. Staff members will also be responsible for storing banquet furniture in an organized manner and reporting any damage to hotel or rental equipment. The role requires a commitment to teamwork and high-quality work, as well as the ability to maintain a polished appearance that reflects the IHG brand standards.
