About The Position

The Event Setup Assistant plays a vital role in the planning and execution of various events, ensuring smooth operations and client satisfaction. This part-time, seasonal position is ideal for individuals looking to supplement their income, particularly college students or those with existing jobs. Flexibility in hours is essential, as the role involves setup and breakdown of event decor, often requiring late-night work.

Requirements

• High school Diploma / GED
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Experience driving a company van or box truck required
• Experience in events strongly preferred
• Must be able to lift 50+ lbs
• Must have reliable transportation
• Ability to work flexible hours, including very late nights.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the setup and breakdown of event spaces, including arranging backdrops and decorations.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless event decor execution.
• Load truck and van with decor items such as display stands, flowers, vases, and backdrops.
• Set up centerpieces on tables.
• Lift and set up wooden backdrops and drapes.
• Retouch paint on wooden backdrops as needed.
• Set up ceremony decor at the ceremony location.
• Fill vases with water and candles for events.
• Take down decor and load it back into the truck after events.
