The Event Service Specialist (ESS) is the day-of onsite primary client point of contact for assigned programs and events. Responsible for the onsite execution of all program and event logistics, ensuring exceptional client/guest experiences by providing superior customer service for Maritz Global Events onsite operations. Additionally, responsible for maintaining and auditing assigned internal event spaces.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (strong preference for Hospitality or Event Management fields).
  • 0–2 years of experience in events, hospitality, or related environments.
  • Strong computer skills, including G‑Suite, with the ability to learn new technology quickly.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including last‑minute changes when needed.
  • Ability to meet physical demands such as extended standing, lifting, and event‑related setup.
  • Dependable, flexible, self‑directed, and able to work with employees at all levels both independently and within a team.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience leading or directing teams.
  • Prior onsite event operations experience or corporate campus event support.
  • Foreign language skills, which can enhance communication with guests.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all onsite logistics for assigned programs and events, including transportation, registration, hospitality desk, catering, facilities, activities, technology, and executive/VIP handling.
  • Provide guidance and consultative support to clients and guests while maintaining adherence to corporate, departmental, and performance policies.
  • Anticipate and resolve onsite challenges, support problem‑solving, and ensure a positive attendee and guest experience through high‑level customer service.
  • Maintain proactive communication with clients to ensure expectations are clearly understood and satisfaction is achieved.
  • Regularly audit and maintain assigned internal event spaces, identifying areas for improvement and managing maintenance requests through completion.
  • Manage team resource documents and provide administrative or project support as assigned by leadership.
