Pali Mountain is a premier year-round camp, outdoor education facility, and retreat center located on 250 forested acres in the San Bernardino Mountains. Pali’s inclusive, innovative culture values respect and continuous learning, offering a rewarding workplace for professional growth and meaningful impact The Program Manager role at Pali Retreats is a pivotal leadership position driving the operational and strategic success of our outdoor education and conference center. Collaborating closely with the Retreat Director and Pali’s COO, you’ll execute our strategic vision while independently overseeing daily operations. This role demands a proactive, dynamic, solution-oriented leader who thrives under pressure, ensures seamless logistics, and fosters a positive environment for guests and staff. You’ll play a key role in reimagining programs to deliver exceptional experiences and drive continuous improvement.

  • Solid background in operations, logistics, or hospitality, with confidence in cross-departmental coordination.

  • Passionate about experiential programming and enhancing guest and staff experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations, ensuring efficient logistics and high-quality guest experiences.
  • Maintain positive relationships with guests and staff, addressing feedback and operational inefficiencies promptly.
  • Manage weekly setup and breakdown of facilities, equipment, and activity areas for safety and readiness.
  • Coordinate with departments to ensure resource availability and accurate meal planning with the kitchen.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Continuously enhance programs by evaluating guest feedback and staff participation to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Collaborate with leadership to address logistical challenges and optimize program execution.
  • Work with the Program Coordinator to translate field-level insights into actionable enhancements.
  • Submit quarterly inventories of bar materials, beverage stock, AV equipment, and storage containers.
  • Train and supervise activity specialists, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Provide hands-on assistance with logistical staff needs as required.
  • Deliver comprehensive staff training on program procedures and expectations, ensuring clarity and confidence.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to staff.
  • Foster a supportive, collaborative team culture, addressing concerns and resolving conflicts effectively.
  • Delegate tasks to activity specialists to ensure smooth program execution.
