About The Position
Proof of the Pudding is an award-winning catering company throughout the Southeast with a commitment to creating quality culinary concepts from scratch. This standard was upheld through the expansion into Sports and Entertainment Hospitality Services by providing elevated concessions and premium offerings to collegiate stadiums, PGA golf tournaments, International Boat Shows, Professional Sports Teams, & more. Proof of the Pudding, operator of COTA Catering, is seeking Premium Servers to join the COTA team. Servers are responsible for a wide range of tasks to help ensure overall guest satisfaction during events. Work assignments and tasks can change daily based on the immediate needs of the event calendar. Food service consists of hospitality and concessions of sporting events, a daily staff café, multiple concerts, and year-round racing events including one of America’s only F1 races – The Grand Prix. This is seasonal/part-time work as business needs are dictated by athletic events.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred
- Knowledge of upscale/VIP service styles preferred.
- Excellent listening and communication skills
- Strong Customer Service skills with the desire to go above and beyond a client’s needs.
- The ability to work alone and as a team.
- The ability to learn and adapt quickly.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the setting of suites, clubs, and buffets completely.
- Must be able to set up for events, carry equipment, serve guests, and clean up at the conclusion of the event.
- Quickly respond to guests needs.
- Maintain proper dining experience and fulfilling customer needs.
- Performing basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed.
- Adhere to grooming and appearance standards.
- Knowledge of event menu items and their contents.
- Responsible for setting buffet stations which may include décor.
- Serve and clear food and beverage quietly, professionally, and quickly, using proper serving and clearing techniques.
- Performs other related duties as required.
