From weddings and holiday parties to corporate retreats and social gatherings, our catering team delivers unforgettable events with creative menus, seamless service, and elevated design expertise. We are seeking additional Event Servers to help facilitate Gils events and to provide Front of House support at events. Responsibilities include setting tables and buffet stations, assisting with event setup and breakdown, and serving and clearing food and beverages using proper techniques. Event Servers maintain a clean, professional work environment, coordinate with team members to ensure seamless service, and present a polished, professional appearance at all times. This position will be stationed out of the Gil’s Elegant Catering facility located in Grand Prairie, TX. Duties may include but are not limited to:

Requirements

  • Experience in food & beverage or hospitality is preferred
  • Must be comfortable commuting to Grand Prairie, TX.
  • Excellent listening and communication skills
  • Renowned time management and organization skills
  • Strong Customer Service skills with the desire to go above and beyond a client’s needs
  • The ability to work alone and as a team
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to learn and adapt quickly
  • Adherence to Company Uniform Requirements outlined in the Associate Handbook, uniform requirements outlined in your orientation guidelines.
  • Non-slip shoes are necessary.
  • Prolonged periods of standing, moving through an event space, and traveling from venue to venue
  • Bending, lifting, scooping, and carrying miscellaneous equipment and food items
  • Ability to perform physical tasks; such as but not limited to, lifting approx. 30 lbs.
  • Demonstrate comprehension of the job, including policies, practices, and relationships. Possess the expertise and skill levels required of the job and perform with quality.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the setting of tables completely according to diagram and/or sample table.
  • Responsible for setting buffet stations which may include décor.
  • Assist in the unloading/loading of off-premise event trucks.
  • Serve and clear food and beverage quietly, professionally, and quickly, using proper serving and clearing techniques.
  • Keep work area clean, and coordinate actions with the banquet team members, and all other members of the front and back of the house to ensure flawless customer service.
  • Maintain good grooming and personal hygiene.
  • Performs other related duties as required
