About the role Pirate Ventures is a leading venue and event management company dedicated to creating unforgettable experiences for our clients and their guests. We specialize in hosting high-volume events, from weddings and corporate gatherings to festivals and private parties. What you'll do As Event Security, you will be an essential part of our team responsible for delivering outstanding service and creating memorable moments for our guests during events. You will be working in a fast-paced, exciting environment and must be able to manage large crowds while maintaining a high level of professionalism and quality. What you'll do Greet guests as soon as they walk through the door Maintain compliance with local laws and venue policies by checking IDs, performing bag checks, etc Maintain safety in our events Show guests to their designated area and explain our policies & procedures Assist with opening/closing tasks and side work, including event set up. Keep guests happy and handle complaints appropriately Build a rapport with our guests and vendors Maintain a positive image of the Pirate Ventures brand at all times Working with Building Managers, execute first-class events

Requirements

• Commitment to and alignment with the company's core values

• Ability to deescalate difficult situations
• Keen understanding that a positive guest experience is imperative to success
• Well-organized
• Ability to stand and/or walk for prolonged periods of time
• Ability to lift and carry up to 35 pounds for short periods of time

Responsibilities

• Greet guests as soon as they walk through the door
