Position Summary The Event Security position is responsible for ensuring the safety and security for all events. Special security assignments may be available during non-event days/nights. The security team is a provider of direct service to our guests and must always exhibit a professional and courteous demeanor. This role pays an hourly rate of $45.00 Benefits for Part-Time roles: 401(k) Savings Plan and 401(k) matching EVERGREEN ROLE: Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis; there is no application deadline About the Venue Located in the heart of Cumberland County, the Crown Complex is a state-of-the-art, five-venue complex comprised of a 4,500-seat arena, a 9,200-square foot ballroom, a 10,880-seat coliseum, an exposition center with 60,000 square feet of unobstructed space and a 2,440-seat theatre. The Crown Complex is home to the Fayetteville Marksmen hockey team (SPHL) and Fayetteville Fury indoor soccer team (NISL) and hosts a variety of other sporting events, family shows, concerts and special productions year-round.

Requirements

  • Must be an active-duty Cumberland County Deputy.
  • Able to work events as assigned.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in the English language required.
  • Ability to work beyond traditional business hours, including nights, weekends and select holidays, is required.
  • Must demonstrate strong attention to detail.
  • Must demonstrate a positive, professional, and customer-focused attitude.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to requests for assistance from staff and visitors for a variety of security issues (fire, medical emergencies, etc.)
  • Performs all event and non-event security duties as assigned.
  • Conducts building safety inspections (Normally pre-event and post event safety checks).
  • Follow all established security procedures.
  • Answers information requests from staff and guests during events or as needed.
  • Protects equipment, materials, and structures throughout the work schedule.
  • Provides regular security functions within the Complex and related areas, prior to, during and after all events.
  • Responsible for clean, neat appearance with complete CC deputy uniform.
  • Turn in all lost and found items to the Event Manager on duty, when applicable.
  • When requested, provide escorts of persons to and from locations within the complex.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by the Management.
