About The Position

Blizzard is seeking to fill the position of Manager, Event Security & Safety. In this role, you'll be responsible for managing physical security and safety for a large-scale Blizzard event based in Southern CA. This role will oversee coordinating guard force deployment, law enforcement liaison, executive protection, emergency response, and overall security/safety for the event. We are expecting this role to last about 12 months. This role is anticipated to be a hybrid work position, with some work on-site and some work-from-home. The potential home studio for this role is Irvine, CA.

Requirements

• Must have at least 7 years’ experience in event security, physical security, law enforcement, military, safety, emergency management, or any combination thereof, with at least 5 years of management experience
• BA or BS highly desired. Degrees in fields such as criminal justice, homeland security, emergency management, occupational safety, business administration, or organizational leadership preferred
• Must have security management experience with large, public-facing events
• Must have knowledge of best practices in event security, executive protection, and safety concepts, standards, policies, and procedures
• Must have effective management, communication, technical writing, presentation development, and organizational skills
• Ability to maintain professional composure when dealing with unusual and stressful circumstances
• Strong customer service and service delivery
• Position requires demonstrated integrity, honesty, poise, tact, and diplomacy
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and leadership skills with the ability to plan, coordinate, and manage staff and operations
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
