About The Position

The Event Security Officer is responsible for ensuring the safety and welfare of guests at the Footprint Center during events. This role involves maintaining security protocols, providing excellent customer service, and responding to incidents while ensuring adherence to safety rules and procedures.

Requirements

• Excellent customer service skills and a friendly, outgoing personality.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• Maintain a neat, professional appearance as outlined by the Employee Handbook.
• Ability to remain calm and focused at all times.
• Sound judgment to diffuse volatile situations.
• Ability to memorize the layout of the Footprint Center.
• Flexibility with various post/work locations based on business needs.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Customer service experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products is recommended.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service to guests.
• Serve as information specialists, responding to guests' comments, questions, and requests.
• Search guests' bags via x-ray for prohibited items and monitor guest flow through metal detectors.
• Assist guests with directions and information about the arena layout, especially during emergencies.
• Respond quickly and accurately to incidents and emergencies.
• Maintain order and ensure adherence to arena policies and procedures.
• Verify credentials to control access into restricted areas.
• Write clear and concise incident reports.
• Monitor, patrol, and respond to alarms/emergency situations inside and outside the arena.
