This position will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for all team members and guests. Your primary responsibility is to enforce security measures, deter potential incidents, and respond promptly to any security concerns that may arise during regular operations or events. Position includes the possibility of working Concert/Event Security at the Empower FCU Amphitheater from May to September.

Requirements

• New York State Security Guard License
• High school diploma and/or 2 years of verifiable experience
• Good working knowledge of security operations, safety practices in a business environment, and enforcement procedures.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and respond to alerts generated by Evolv Security System, including access control points, surveillance cameras, and alarm sensors.
• Maintain a visible presence, control access to restricted areas, and report any suspicious activity or incidents through the Evolv platform.
• Monitor and authorize entrances and exits to guard against theft and maintain security and safety of the premises.
• Conduct bag searches and operate detecting devices to screen individuals and prevent passage of prohibited articles into restricted areas.
• Circulate among guests and/or employees to preserve safety, order, and protect the venue property.
• Patrol premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion.
• Serve as check point personnel to ensure all who enter your post have proper credentials.
• Respond to safety & security calls in a professional and timely manner.
• Investigate & compile accurate incident reports.
• Adhere to the dress code and present yourself in a friendly and approachable manner.
