About The Position

The Event Sales Manager at Star Lanes Polaris is responsible for driving sales and managing events at an upscale entertainment venue. This role focuses on exceeding sales objectives, developing client relationships, and ensuring exceptional guest service throughout the event planning process. The manager will work closely with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored event solutions, while also collaborating with the team to create effective sales strategies.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years restaurant event/sales experience preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years hospitality related experience preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills.
  • Basic math skills and strong organizational skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task and be a team player.
  • Computer skills required (Excel, Word), CRM and Catering Software Systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Salesforce and Tripleseat experience is a bonus.

Responsibilities

  • Meets and strives to exceed budgeted sales objectives.
  • Achieves KPI standards and aims to go beyond.
  • Weekly prospecting with outreach to prospective clients and repeat clients.
  • Identifies new business opportunities through outbound efforts.
  • Assists with team on creating sales initiatives and strategy focused on driving new and repeat business.
  • Builds rapport with local destination management companies, meeting & event planners, and hotels.
  • Develops client base resulting in maximum repeat business.
  • Establishes and cultivates strategic rapport with top accounts through regular outreach and follow-up.
  • Ensures weekly and monthly financial reporting is accurate and completed with the team.
  • Schedules and executes site tours for prospective clients.
  • Provides clients with timely proposals that exhibit thorough knowledge of their needs.
  • Responsible for creating and pricing contracts and handling payment.
  • Expresses company identity, concept, and event options clearly to clients.
  • Delivers outstanding guest service throughout all stages of the sales process, including post-event follow-up.
  • Attends and actively participates in local professional networking events and off-sites with lead follow-up.
  • Flexible in approach to adapt to business needs and changes.
