About The Position

The Event Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue through the sale of event space while overseeing the successful planning and execution of events. This role serves as a key liaison between clients, convention services, and hotel operations, ensuring seamless coordination of event logistics. The ideal candidate is both sales-driven and detail-oriented, with strong relationship management and operational execution skills.

  • The ability to read and understand documents, drawings, and instructions (whether presented in written, oral, diagram or schedule form).

Responsibilities

  • Proactively sell event and meeting space to corporate, social, and group clients.
  • Respond to inquiries, prepare proposals, negotiate contracts, and close business.
  • Identify upselling opportunities including food & beverage, AV, amusement park, and additional services.
  • Work closely with the Group Sales team to align event space bookings with room block opportunities to maximize total revenue.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients from contract through event completion.
  • Coordinate all event logistics including banquet event orders (BEOs), room setup, catering, and audiovisual with the convention service manager.
  • Lead pre-convention and pre-event meetings with clients and internal departments.
  • Ensure all event details are communicated clearly to operations teams.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships to encourage repeat and referral business.
  • Address client concerns promptly and ensure a high level of satisfaction.
  • Conduct post-event follow-ups and feedback reviews.
  • Work cross-functionally with Convention Services, Front Office, Security, and Catering teams.
  • Ensure compliance with hotel policies, contracts, and service standards.
  • Support on-site event execution as needed, including evenings and weekends.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by General Manager.
