About The Position

As a subsidiary of Midway Auto Group, MG Studio is a premier creative studio and event space located in downtown Los Angeles. Built in 2016 as part of Midway Group, the studio was specifically designed with an automotive clientele in mind as a flexible space to host events such as press launches, photo shoots, focus groups and private parties. Over the last few years, the event space has grown to cater to many different industries and clients including film/TV shoots, music concerts, corporate seminars, weddings and more. At MG Studio and Midway Group, we’re energetic and passionate about what we do. We take pride in meeting our clients’ needs with prompt and full attention and delivering seamless event experiences. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Event Sales Manager to lead and oversee the planning and execution of events hosted at MG Studio. The ideal candidate is a creative thinker and problem solver with superb communication skills and attention to detail. Essential job duties: The Event Sales Manager is responsible for generating new business, converting leads into booked events, and managing client relationships from initial inquiry through post-event follow-up. This individual serves as the primary point of contact for clients and ensures every event reflects MG Studio’s high standards of service and execution.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in event management, venue sales, hospitality, or a related field
  • Proven ability to manage a sales pipeline and close business
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities
  • Creative problem-solving mindset; isn’t afraid to roll up sleeves to get the job done
  • Self-starter who thrives both independently and within a collaborative team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook (Salesforce experience a plus)
  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as event schedules require
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, walk, bend and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Generate, qualify, and convert new sales leads (oversee the full sales pipeline)
  • Create and present customized proposals and pricing packages to prospective clients
  • Respond promptly to incoming inquiries and oversee the full sales pipeline
  • Conduct venue tours and client consultations
  • Cultivate relationships with event planners, agencies, production teams, and corporate clients
  • Represent MG Studio at networking events and industry functions
  • Support and help execute marketing initiatives (social media, email campaigns, partnerships, etc.)
  • Assist marketing with responding to inbound inquiries
  • Assist with forecasting, revenue tracking, and sales reporting
  • Serve as the day-to-day client contact for events, from start to finish
  • Act as first point-of-contact for MG Studio phone calls and inquiries
  • Schedule/lead venue walk throughs with prospective clients
  • Manage booked events, including: Proactive and timely client communication Vendor coordination (cleaning, security, rentals, production, etc.)
  • Manage all event set up, tear down, and follow-up processes
  • Develop and distribute a detailed Run of Show prior to each event
  • Staff events and coordinate any additional staffing needs
  • Assist with budgeting and client invoices
  • Maintain overall event calendar & vendor lists
  • Provide timely and proactive status updates to MG Studio management team and in weekly team meetings
  • Assist in maintaining organization of events, office, and storage areas
  • Contribute to broader operational planning, budgeting, and business strategy
  • Support overall MG Studio and Midway Group initiatives as needed
