About The Position

The Event Sales Manager at Hyatt Regency Salt Lake City is responsible for selling and servicing local catering events, focusing primarily on Banquet Food and Beverage. This role involves menu planning, agenda setting, and ensuring effective communication with hotel staff to deliver exceptional service before, during, and after events. The manager will also conduct hotel site inspections, maintain strong customer relationships, and collaborate with the sales and events team to ensure successful event execution.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years previous hotel experience.
  • Proficient in general computer knowledge.
  • Strong relationship building and customer relations skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Sell and service local catering events, focusing on Banquet Food and Beverage.
  • Plan menus and set agendas for events.
  • Review contracts and facilitate communication with hotel staff before, during, and after events.
  • Host hotel site inspections for potential clients.
  • Maintain strong customer relationships and ensure high levels of service.
  • Participate in and potentially lead event meetings and staff meetings.
  • Collaborate with an assigned Administrative Assistant and other support staff.
