About The Position

The Event/Sales Manager will be responsible for managing and executing all events hosted at Doral Amphitheater and Tropical Park Event Complex. This role combines event operations with sales responsibilities, including securing new business, cultivating client relationships, and ensuring the smooth execution of events. The ideal candidate is highly organized, client-focused, and motivated to grow venue usage through proactive outreach and exceptional service.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Marketing, Business, or related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in event management, sales, or venue operations (entertainment or hospitality industry preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of event logistics, planning, and execution.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales goals and building client relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee planning, coordination, and execution of all events at the venues.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients during pre-event planning and on-site execution.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and partners to ensure seamless event operations.
  • Manage event logistics, including scheduling, staffing, setup, and breakdown.
  • Monitor event budgets, timelines, and compliance with venue policies.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all booked clients from contract to post-event follow-up.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and vendors (production, marketing, ticketing, F&B, security, operations) to deliver seamless events.
  • Ensure compliance with all contracts, insurance requirements, and venue regulations.
  • Manage and maintain the booking calendars for both venues, ensuring accurate tracking of holds, confirmed events, and availability.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to minimize scheduling conflicts and optimize venue utilization.
  • Provide timely updates to leadership on calendar status, availability, and tentative bookings.
  • Communicate date availability to promoters, clients, and internal stakeholders in a professional, client-friendly manner.
  • Proactively identify and pursue new event opportunities for the venues.
  • Develop and execute a sales strategy to attract new promoters, corporate clients, community organizations, and private event businesses.
  • Conduct venue tours and present event packages to prospective clients.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms in line with company guidelines.
  • Track sales pipeline, generate revenue reports, and meet/exceed monthly and annual booking targets.
  • Prepare event budgets, estimates, and settlement reports in collaboration with finance and operations.
  • Provide exceptional customer service before, during, and after events.
  • Handle client inquiries and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Gather post-event feedback to improve services and client satisfaction continuously.
