About The Position

The Event Sales Coordinator at RMD Group plays a crucial role in supporting the Sales & Event Department by managing various tasks related to the planning, setup, and execution of large parties and private events. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment to ensure events meet the company's standards and guest expectations.

Requirements

• Minimum 1-3 years of hospitality experience, preferably in events.
• Experience with Tripleseat or other CRM/SAAS programs is a plus but not required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to learn new skills and adapt to changing environments.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and responsibilities.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university (preferred).
• Proficient in Microsoft applications (Excel/Word/Outlook).
• Proficient in Toast and/or other POS systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Sales & Event Managers with various tasks to ensure successful planning and execution of events.
• Collect sales lead contact and group information and distribute it to the Sales Manager.
• Create proposals and contracts for events.
• Develop menus and signage for events.
• Create and distribute event files.
• Conduct site inspections, setting up the venue to required standards and meeting clients.
• Send out meeting requests and calendar blocks.
• Stay informed of new developments and trends in the event and hospitality industry.
• Solicit and maintain private event business for all RMD Venues by building and maintaining positive relationships with clients.
• Participate in sales blitzes, promotional events, and gifting.

Benefits

• Competitive hourly pay of $25.00-$35.00 + commission based on experience.
