About The Position

2020 Companies is seeking an enthusiastic and results-driven Retail Events Sales Specialist to join their team, representing and promoting Reliant Energy services at retail events. This role involves engaging with customers, driving new enrollments, and helping them find the right energy solutions. The position offers paid training, uncapped commissions, and clear paths to career growth, providing an opportunity to build a career in energy sales. 2020 Companies recruits, hires, trains, and cultivates Sales Representatives, Brand Ambassadors, Merchandisers, and cast talent to offer full-package solutions to clients aiming to grow market share, build brand awareness, expand distribution channels, and connect people with consumers. The role also involves selling products and services in retail stores, kiosks, and/or event environments, maintaining professional interaction with customers and colleagues, and meeting or exceeding personal sales goals.

Requirements

  • Strong experience in retail/event sales or event marketing
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently
  • Comfortable with physical task such as lifting, setup and teardown of events
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to event locations
  • Flexible availability needed including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Six (6) months prior sales, retail, telecom or marketing experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge of products and services
  • Excellent communications, presentation, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • Impeccable integrity and commitment to customer satisfaction
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, team environment
  • Must be available to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed
  • Ability to maintain customer confidentiality

Responsibilities

  • Promote and sell Reliant Energy services at events, meeting personal sales goals
  • Educate customers on energy plans, pricing, and benefits
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and represent the brand professionally
  • Engage attendees, address inquiries and close sales effectively
  • Accurately process enrollments and maintain sales records
  • Submit post-event performance and feedback reports
  • Collaborate with a supportive team to maximize success and earnings
  • Maintain professional interaction with both customers and fellow employees
  • Meet or exceed personal sales goals on a monthly basis
  • Courteously welcome customers and offer assistance
  • Direct customers by escorting them to displays; assess needs and suggests products to fit those needs
  • Advise customers by providing information on products and services
  • Help customers make selections by building customer confidence
  • Accurately document and report sales
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
  • Responsible for accurately tracking and communicating all activity to Retail Operations
  • Ensure work station/kiosk is clean, well-organized, functional and presentable at all times
  • Responsible for submitting all paperwork completely and accurately
