About The Position

About the Team The Ballpark Operations team is responsible for the event day needs of the organization’s events here at Oracle Park. This department works cross-functionally with several other departments and is integral to the success of the event day experience. About the Role The Event Staff team will help with the setup and takedown of equipment for baseball and non-baseball events in a safe and clean manner. This role will work closely with various departments within the Giants Organization in order to successfully support the logistics that go into hosting baseball games and non-baseball events. This is an exciting, hands on role that will provide employees with substantive exposure into the world of operations at a major venue.

Requirements

  • minimum of one year experience in a relevant field, particularly in a hands-on support role preferred
  • ability to multi-task, are punctual and presentable
  • ability to be adaptable and not only work as a team player, but also take initiative and be a self-starter when appropriate
  • maintain a high level of discretion and confidentiality at all times
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Ability to stand, crouch, kneel, life and/or move up to 60lbs., and climb ladders as needed
  • Must be able to work flexible hours and variable schedules, including nights, weekends and holidays

Nice To Haves

  • event set-up and forklift experience (a plus)

Responsibilities

  • work with supervisors to set up and take down equipment and furniture used for events
  • make changes to floor plans if requested by client or event supervisor
  • get your hands dirty by providing hands-on support for projects throughout the ballpark
  • provide outstanding customer service clients and guests during events
  • provide an extra set of eyes and maintain ballpark security by monitoring access into and through the ballpark
  • operate baseball pitching machines during selected events
  • assist with client and vendor load-in/load-out for selected events
  • maintain and monitor furniture and equipment storage areas
  • complete light maintenance work such as painting, staining and equipment and furniture assembly may be required
